About The Author

Christy Paxton

Training since 2004, and still learning every day! In my pre-trainer days, I owned an aggressive dog who I loved to pieces and lived to be 17-plus. I tried the "standard" methods out there at the time (none worked). After he died, I kept on searching. When I found the gentle, sensible answers (through people like Patricia McConnell, Jan Fennell, Karen Pryor, Turid Rugaas, etc.) I knew I had to help others desperately searching like I was. I became a trainer then and haven't looked back! I run group classes for basics, intermediate (CGC/Therapy Dog prep [I'm a CGC evaluator]), clicker and Trickility (tricks plus agility!); workshops; and private lessons. My specialty is tough behavior problems!
